T7 Newsletter Issue 1, 07/18/2016

Citizens of Egypt,

We are long overdue to send out a newsletter, so let's see if we can make it a good one.

First off, a welcome back weekend will start at noon CDT, July 22, 2016 and run for 72 hours (Noon CDT, July 25, 2016).  As a special reward, I will be granting every person who logs into the game a bonus of 3 days of additional offline travel time to use as they see fit. This travel time is in addition to any offline chores that paid players will receive.

What is a welcome back weekend?  It is a time for all players old and new to sign into the game and hang out.  You can see the tests that have been released and join in the events.  If your account is currently unpaid, you will be sent back to Egypt for the duration of the welcome back event.

Come see your old friends. See the tests that have been released since you were last in game. Every discipline now has at least 8 tests available, some have many more.

Second, I would like to announce an in game survey for the date of the first ever player gathering at the headquarters of Pluribus Games in Aurora, Illinois. The dates available are September 2-4, October 7-9, November 25-27, and December 30-January 1. The poll will be active until Midnight CDT July 25, 2016. I will send out event details as quickly after that as possible once the plans are finalized with local hotels. So please take the poll and respond to the dates you are likely to attend.

Individuals interested in A Tale in the Desert today can download the client from http://atitd.com. 24 hours of free play time are available as a trial.

About A Tale in the Desert
A Tale in the Desert is a unique massive online game. It has absolutely no combat and death is rare. Within the game is one of the most complex trade skill systems that have ever been created. This is coupled with tests in various disciplines that challenge players to work together or against each other. There is a discipline to meet almost any interest. Perhaps most unique is that the game actually has an ending and a new telling starts up with players back at ground zero.

Night time on the Nile,
Pluribus (Pharaoh of Egypt)
